Hyaluronic Acid
in the Skin

Hyaluronic
acid plays an important role in the way
your skin looks, feels, and functions. A natural complex
sugar found in all mammals, it's a major component of
the connective tissue matrix in the dermis—the dense,
inner layer of skin beneath the epidermis. This matrix
is made up of hyaluronic acid as well as two connective
fibers—collagen and elastin.
By its
nature, hyaluronic acid retains water like a sponge,
absorbing more than 1,000 times its weight. This helps
to attract and maintain water within the extra-cellular
space, hydrating your skin and increasing its volume and
density. Hyaluronic acid is also involved with the
transport of essential nutrients to the skin's viable
cells. Hyaluronic acid provides volume, helping to
contribute to the skin's overall appearance.
As you
age and your skin is exposed to environmental pollutants
and the sun's ultraviolet rays, your cells gradually
lose the ability to produce hyaluronic acid.
Studies
have shown that older skin typically has lower levels of
hyaluronic acid than younger skin.
As you age, your skin
tissue becomes dehydrated and the collagen and elastin
fibers lose their structure, resulting in a loss of skin
volume and the formation of the facial wrinkles and
folds that are common characteristics of aged skin.

What is
low molecular weight hyaluronic acid?
It is a super small form of HA that retains moisture
down to the nano particle levels, empowering healthy
looking skin. It reaches deep into your pores to
moisturize and replenish your skin.
This technology allows for
increased absorption into the skin,
sealing in moisture at the topical level to help retain
it for a longer time, while also penetrating the skin
deeper to help improve the lipid barrier.
Hyaluronic acid can basically be divided
into high and low molecular weight molecules – with the
low molecular weight, being the preferred one to use in
premium cosmetics, which
penetrates the skin far easier at
17%
versus 5%,
yet has the ability of holding and binding the same
amount of moisture in the skin as its higher molecule
weight cousin. The low molecular weight hyaluronic acid
has also shown to increase important and needed enzymes
in the skin that increases skin health in general.
JabaLabs
low molecular weight HA requires an extra production
step compared to normal Hyaluronic acid production in
which a special expensive method is used to cut large molecular
weight Hyaluronic Acid into low molecular weight.
This
makes JabaLabs HA far superior than most other forms of
HA available on the market today.
Buy
from the source and Save!
Previously
only available to manufacturers, now you can buy this
pure nano-hyaluronic acid directly from JabaLabs
and save a lot of money.
Our Hyaluronic Acid Serum is made from the highest quality
cosmetic grade sodium hyaluronate. It is not the typical
1% solution so widely available from other cosmetic
websites on the Internet. We purchase the bio-engineered
sodium hyaluronate in pure powder form and we make our
own fresh solution at JabaLabs.
The sodium hyaluronate that we use is not derived from animal
sources, but from the biofermentation of organic plant
matter.
Injecting
hyaluronic acid (Restylane)
is not necessary
– as it is the cosmetic ingredient that penetrates the skin
the deepest and imparts its moisturizing effect to the
skin, and also “holds” moisture in the skin – giving a
far more youthful looking appearance.
Our HA Serum is
so effective that it will penetrate the dermis and epidermis
within 30 minutes of application and this fact was well documented in clinical trails
conducted at the Monash University in Australia, which
show that it not only passively diffuses into the skin,
but is made possible by active transport into the skin.
